WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who is the WWE’s Senior Vice President of WWE NXT & Talent Development announced that the WWE NXT Deadline event on Saturday, December 10th will feature two Iron Survivor Challenge matches, a new match type for the WWE NXT brand.

The new match type will incorporate elements from the Championship Scramble, Iron Man Match and King of the Mountain match, featuring five competitors and a 25 minute time limit.

Two competitors will start the match, with a new competitor to enter every 5 minutes, with the object of the match to have the most points before the time limit expires. One point can be earned by pinfall, submission or disqualification, while whoever loses a fall must spend 90 seconds in a penalty box before being permitted to re-enter the match.
