Former WWE superstar Al Snow has reportedly purchased the Ohio Valley Wrestling promotion from its founder Danny Davis, according to a report from WDRB in Kentucky.

The report notes that Davis, who founded Ohio Valley Wrestling back in 1997, will be retiring to Florida, however it is unknown as to whether this is legitimate or part of a current storyline.

The promotion, which as mentioned above, founded in 1997 is widely regarded as the first and most successful developmental territory before the creation of the WWE Performance Center and was a launch pad for the careers of top names such as Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista and more.
