Mexican wrestler Angel O Demonio, real name Hector Perez Gonzalez, passed away over the weekend at the age of 56 following a battle with COVID-19.

Gonzalez had been battling COVID-19 at home for around a week and was admitted to hospital after being unable to sleep for five days due to the illness, being placed on a ventilator as soon as he arrived at a nearby hospital.

Gonzalez made his professional wrestling debut back in 1987, training under Villano I and Shadito Cruz and during his career was a NEXT Extreme Champion, KAOS Ultraviolent Champion, PXN Extreme Champion and two-time IWL Trios Champion, once alongside Leon Rojo and the other time alongside the late Obett.

On behalf of Wrestling-News.Net, we would like to extend our condolences to Mr. Gonzalez’s family, friends and fans.
