There has been some big changes to EVOLVE Wrestling over the past couple of days, as moving forward, the promotion are going to try and focus more on talents who have upward mobility to move onto WWE developmental, according to a report from PWInsider.com.

The report notes that while the door is still open to use talents who are under contract elsewhere in shorter programs or as guest stars on certain events, the idea going forward is to have a pool of talents that WWE scouts could see and potentially want to hire and that as part of the initiative, Sami Callihan finished up with the promotion over WrestleMania week as he has signed a deal with Lucha Underground.

The original plan for WrestleMania week was for Callihan to challenge EVOLVE Champion Timothy Thatcher and while the door is not closed on Callihan appearing for the promotion down the line, a longer-term program/storyline is a little more difficult, as he would be outside of the parameters of what EVOLVE wants to focus on going forward.

The report also states that there will be an increase in live events once the promotion settles back in after WrestleMania week, as while the promotion had been running every 6-8 weeks, the new plan is to start plannng out a schedule that will see them running every four weeks, as well as branching out into new markets.
