Big Japan Pro Wrestling have confirmed that former BJW Strong Heavyweight Champion Yuji Okabayashi will be taking an indefinite leave of absence next month as he assesses the next chapter of his life.

It was noted that 40-year-old Okabayashi, who has been working with Big Japan Pro Wrestling since his in-ring career started back in 2008 is at the age of 40 where he had considered winding down and that he will think about his future, if he is able to continue his currently style of wrestling and potential retirement during his indefinite leave.

Okabayashi is scheduled for shows on June 10th, June 11th, June 18th, June 25th, June 29th and June 30th before his indefinite leave of absence begins, and has already spoken with his family and Big Japan Pro Wrestling’s President about his next steps going forward.
