In an update on plans for next month’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, several WWE SmackDown Live stars are backstage at tonight’s Monday Night RAW as there is no live event scheduled for the brand due to them coming back from the South American tour of Argentina and Chile.

A report from PWInsider.com notes that WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will be at RAW to accept WWE Champion Jinder Mahal’s challenge for a match at WWE Survivor Series, with the word making the rounds that John Cena will be the special guest referee for that match.

The report states that the RAW Women are scheduled to take on the SmackDown Women at Survivor Series, with Sasha Banks to face off against Bayley to determine the RAW Women’s Team captain and a 5-Way match scheduled for SmackDown Live to determine the SmackDown Live Women’s Team captain, while there is also expected to be a RAW Men vs. SmackDown Men match at the event, which could explain why WWE SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon is backstage at WWE RAW tonight.

Also in the plans for the show is Enzo Amore, Tony Nese, Drew Gulak, Noam Dar & Ariya Daivari vs. Kalisto, Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali & Sin Cara in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series match, as well as Alexa Bliss vs. Natalya in a RAW vs. SmackDown Live cross-branded match.
