IMPACT Wrestling announced following last night’s Rebellion pay-per-view that new IMPACT World Champion Brian Cage was rushed to the emergency room after his match with Johnny Impact.

The belief is that Cage’s injury stems from the Spanish Fly that Cage took off the entrance ramp onto the floor as well as the powerbomb from the debuting Michael Elgin.

Cage’s fiancee Melissa Santos noted on her official Twitter account that Cage was indeed suffering from a back injury.
