In an update on Bully Ray’s contract status with Ring of Honor Wrestling, the WWE Hall of Famer’s contract with the promotion expired back on April 1st, according to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com.

The report notes that Bully Ray’s exit had been agreed upon and planned out by both sides, with the original plan being that Bully Ray would stay with the company until the ROH Supercard of Honor event over WrestleMania 36 weekend to finish out a storyline with Maria Manic, however due to COVID-19, those plans were effectively out the window.

The report adds that there was no heat between Bully Ray and the company and it was a realization from both sides that he had done all that he could do there currently and is now free to work elsewhere or sign a contract elsewhere if the right offer is made.
