In an update on former WWE Intercontinental Champion and WWE United States Champion Carlito’s return to the company, a new update from PWInsider.com notes that while Carlito had been initially slated for a return at some point last week, he was not backstage during Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

Additionally, the belief is that he had travelled to the same region of the country for WWE over the weekend, and was spotted in Pittsburgh where much of the WWE medical team is located on Sunday.

The report notes that with The Trial of Roman Reigns segment on WWE SmackDown on Friday night, the feeling was that would have stolen the spotlight on Carlito’s WWE return on the same show, especially when it came to trying to split focus onto events with the LWO.
