During last night’s Ring of Honor “War” DVD taping, Charlie Haas announced that he was officially retired as of his match against Jeff Louis Neal, an independent wrestler based out of the Carolinas and then took to his Twitter to announce that his match against Shelton Benjamin, which was scheduled for ROH’s Supercard of Honor VII event would no longer be going ahead as scheduled.

Haas wrote, “Officially retired. No match against @Sheltyb803 nxt week NYC. Time to be a full time dad and husband. I’ve turned my spandex in for scrubs. Thanks to all the fans throughout the years. I love you all. Stay safe and God bless. WGTT will always be a top Tag Team, forever.”

There should be more on Haas’ decision and how ROH will go forward with plans for Supercard of Honor VII later today.
