WWE have an article on their official website with their own sources indicating that CM Punk is medically cleared to return to in-ring compeition and if confirmed, will be able to return to action and defend the WWE Championship against Ryback in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match on this Monday’s WWE RAW.

As we mentioned previously on the website, Punk underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in early December and wanted to work against Ryback at the TLC pay-per-view, however Vince McMahon pulled the match from the event, due to the fact that the company were pushing the Royal Rumble event hard, with Punk defending his title against The Rock and didn’t want anything to jeopardize the match and their plans heading towards WrestleMania 29.

The company announced in the article that an update Punk’s injury status will be made on tonight’s edition of WWE Main Event on ION Television.
