Collegiate athlete Yuma Anzai, who is a member of the wrestling team at Chuo University in Japan and was scouted by former 7-time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion Suwama, will be joining the All Japan Pro Wrestling roster next Spring and will appear as part of All Japan Pro Wrestling’s January 2nd event at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan to formally announce his signing.

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Suwama and Anzai commented on the announcement, with Suwama stating, “I’ve heard since last year or so that there are good wrestlers here, I’ve been hearing about a good fighter since last year or so. With his neat face and strong muscles, he already has the air of a future star”. Anzai stated the following on pursuing a wrestling career, “When I was in the second year of junior high school, I happened to watch a late night pro wrestling broadcast and was amazed at how cool the world was, I realized that there was such a cool world out there and I started to want to wrestle.”
