The National Wrestling Alliance sent out the following:

From the desk of NWA President R. Bruce Tharpe

As everyone knows, “Ironman” Rob Conway defeated Tokyo Monster Kahagas on March 16 in San Antonio Texas to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Conway’s victory has a direct impact on NWA Houston’s Parade of Champions Paul Boesch tribute event on April 20.

Conway was originally scheduled to face “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters in a match up of former WWE Superstars. The former champion Kahagas and NWA North American Heavyweight Champion “Addictive and Expensive” Byron Wilcott were scheduled to headline this historic event in a title unification match.

After great consideration, I have advised NWA Houston to proceed with the matches as they were originally scheduled. NWA Houston’s advance ticket sales have been strong and it’s only fair that we give the fans the matches they expected to see when they purchased tickets.

Therefore, Conway and Masters will still meet and headline the event with Conway’s NWA World Heavyweight title, the most storied and respected belt in all of wrestling, on the line. Wilcott’s NWA North American title will be up for grabs when he faces Kahagas.

Also, I am pleased to announce the addition of one more match to this highly anticipated event. NWA Lone Star Jr. Heavyweight Champion “One Man” Mike Dell will defend his title against Ray Rowe! Ray has been working hard to drop weight so he can compete in the Jr. Heavyweight division, and I’m proud to say that he has made the weight! This match is a great addition to an already stacked and star studded event.
