In an interview with The Pittsburgh Post Gazette, WWE NXT commentator Corey Graves discussed the transition from being a wrestler to commentating on the show.

Highlights of the interview are below:

On getting into professional wrestling: “I had a high school crisis and my Dad started throwing options at me, be a boxer, be a wrestler. I grew up a fan my whole life, my Dad was a fan and he transferred that to me.”

On transitioning into commentary: “WWE was looking out for me, because I wasn’t looking out for myself. I had my reservations, but I’ve fallen in love with commentating pretty quickly. In a way, getting taken out of the ring has brought about so many opportunities that I thought I wouldn’t get to until the end of my career.”
