Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, who has been off television with an undisclosed injury since the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view, was medically cleared by the company to make his in-ring return on April 30th and is waiting to be written back in to storylines, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that had Bryan been cleared by the company sooner, the decision to turn Kevin Owens heel would not have happened, however with Bryan out, WWE felt the need to make Owens the top heel on the brand.
