Former WWE Tag Team Champion, MLW Tag Team Champion and 2019 MLW Opera Cup Winner Davey Boy Smith Jr. worked a match prior to tonight’s WWE SmackDown taping, teaming with WWE NXT superstar Austin Theory against the team of Xyon Quinn and Odyssey Jones, the latter of who is currently part of the 2021 WWE NXT Breakout Tournament.

Davey Boy Smith Jr. last appeared on WWE programming during the 2020/2021 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on April 6th, inducting his father, “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith Sr. as part of the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Class.
