WWE announced during last night’s episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network in the latest Diamond Mine vignette that the storyline and/or concept will be “opening soon”, continuing to show male and female athletes training in a mixed martial arts setting, with no revelation so far as to who is involved.

It should be interesting to note that the vignette continues to show athletes using bags which feature the Fusion X-Cel brand name, a fitness center based out of Ocoee, Florida, approximately 20 minutes away from the WWE Performance Center that teaches mixed martial arts among other fighting styles and has a pro fight team with several notable names under their banner including Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza and ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, with it unknown as to whether WWE are planning to use this facility for the Diamond Mine concept, or if WWE just simply shot the footage at the facility.

The synopsis for WWE’s latest Diamond Mine video, a name which WWE filed to trademark on December 30, 2020 reads, “The Diamond Mine opens soon. NXT is about to learn what Diamond Mine is all about.”
