The following results are from a recent Don’t Tell Bobby – A Night Of Appreciation event. The event took place on December 14th, 2019 at the D1 Hardin Valley Sports Training Facility in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Note: The show was put together without Eaton, who is one of the nicest people in the wrestling business, knowing anything of what was happening. When he was booked for the surprise event and arrived at the venue, Eaton thought that he was being booked for an autograph signing, however he realized what was going on when the locker room greeted him and was later informed that the live gate and all proceeds from the FITE.tv sales were being donated to him.

In Ring Segment
Gary Michael Cappetta came to the ring and introduced Jim Cornette as part of the tribute for Bobby Eaton. Cornette got on the mic and said that this is very unique for professional wrestling, as usually the fans are here to buy a ticket and be entertained, while the wrestlers and everyone else in the back are professionals who are here to entertain and get paid, but that tonight however, everyone is here for the exact same reason, they are here to pay tribute to one of the best people to ever walk the face of the earth, Beautiful Bobby Eaton and said that everyone is donating their time to pay tribute to Bobby and that they raised money tonight for Bobby and the American Cancer Society and asked if everyone was having a good time, noting that tonight shows you the respect that Bobby has in this business. Cornette then introduced Bobby who came out with his son Dustin and joked that for once, Eaton does not have to do all the work and asked him to sit down on a chair that was set up in the ring. Cornette said that they have a video presentation from those who could not make it to Knoxville tonight, which led to a video on screen featuring messages from Road Warrior Animal, Teddy Long, Bushwhacker Luke, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner, Nikita Koloff, Raven, Enzo Amore, Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder and Stone Cold Steve Austin, with Austin stating that he was the biggest Bobby Eaton fan and that when he won the WCW World Television Championship, he could not lace Bobby’s boots and he knew that and said that Bobby was a pro and taught him so much about the business, noting that Bobby is the best and that’s the bottom line, because he said so. Cornette then put over Eaton, before names including WWE NXT General Manager William Regal, Bill Dundee, Les Thatcher, Dave Taylor, Bobby Fulton, George South and Tom Prichard made their way to the ring. Dundee joked about how he told his daughter not to date wrestlers and that ended up with Bobby Eaton becoming his son-in-law. Bobby Fulton joked that he used to lay in the ring, knowing that Bobby was coming off the top rope with his big rear end and said that takes faith. Les Thatcher got on the mic and said that tonight is all about Bobby and that Bobby makes him proud to be a wrestler. Thatcher said that the late Ken Lucas would be so happy and proud of him and thanked Bobby for everything that he has done for the business. Tom Prichard got on the mic and said that for the record, The Midnight Express vs. The Rock N’ Roll Express was the greatest rivalry ever in this business and that when the Midnight Express left WCW and Bobby Eaton stayed, it gave him an opportunity that he could never ever hope to have and said that The Midnight Express were the best combination ever, before thanking Bobby. Dustin Eaton got on the mic and said that he just wants to say something quick and that is that his father is his ace and that he loves his father so much and tonight is an awesome night. WWE NXT General Manager William Regal got on the mic and said that he is thankful to be here. Regal said that in 1993, he was lucky enough to have the opportunity to come to the United States and that in 1994, he was put in a tag team and he knew that his partner was leaving. Regal said that he would love to be put with Bobby Eaton and said that WCW management asked why, to which he said that he knew that it would be brilliant and that he could learn a few things from Eaton. Regal said that there is not enough words for Bobby and said that he is here today because Bobby was the one who gave him a chance to be noticed. Regal said that then, he teamed with Dave Taylor and said that they have been all over the world and he can say that Bobby is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Cornette got on the mic again and said that Bobby Eaton is the most humble person in the world and that he was flabbergasted when he walked in as he thought that he was being booked for an autograph signing and that when he arrived at the building, everyone applauded and he realized what was going on. Cornette said that everyone putting this together had a special Championship belt made for Eaton in honor of him. Cornette presented the title to Eaton, with the title reading “Beautiful Bobby Eaton – Lifetime Legend – Midnight Express”.
