Drake Maverick, who was among a list of names to be released by the company back on April 15th, signed a new contract with the WWE, which was confirmed during tonight’s WWE NXT broadcast.
Maverick, who lost in the Interim WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Finals to El Hijo del Fantasma, made his way up the entrance ramp to head to the back, but was greeted by Triple H, who had a WWE NXT contract in-hand, offering Drake the opportunity to become part of the brand on a full-time basis.
