In an update on Drew Gulak’s contract with the WWE expiring after Friday’s WWE SmackDown broadcast on FOX, Gulak’s contract negotiations with the company are not a dead issue, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that Gulak, who is being represented by Barry Bloom in his negotiatons, was seeking out a raise from the company, however that was denied. WWE later pulled the contract offer to Gulak that they originally proposed, which led to negotiations being called off.

It will be interesting to see if Gulak will sign a new WWE contract in the coming days as he is a free agent with no non-compete clause, allowing him to immediately sign and work for promotions including All Elite Wrestling, IMPACT Wrestling and more.
