BJ Whitmer.

Whitmer was announced by Nigel McGuinness as Edwards partner for the match, with Whitmer and Edwards defeating Jay Lethal and Roderick Strong tonight.

Following the match, Whitmer, Lethal, Strong and Edwards shook hands and hugged in the ring. Jay Lethal got on the mic and said that he’s proud of Eddie and is going to leave the ring so that Eddie can have his moment. Eddie got on the mic and said he’s keeping this short and said that despite the weather, it means a lot that everyone got here. Eddie said that BJ Whitmer has been an inspiration and a role model for him and said that whatever the future holds, it sucks that BJ’s career got cut short due to injury, but it means a lot to have BJ team with him in what looks to be his final match in Ring of Honor and then hugged BJ, however BJ looked at Eddie and then nailed him.

Roderick Strong got in the ring and hit Eddie, followed by BJ continung the attack. Jimmy Jacobs came out and said that he’s sick of seeing guys like Eddie Edwards made a name for themselves with ROH and then go somewhere else and that he’s seen guys come and go for the past decade, but there’s 3 who have been the constant. Strong and BJ held Eddie up as Jacobs drove the steel spike into his forehead. Strong, BJ and Jacobs left the ring with their arms raised as a “Thank You Eddie” chant broke out.
