In a recent interview with the ROHStrong podcast, Ring of Honor Wrestling superstar Eli Isom discussed several topics, including his battles with COVID-19 and testing positive twice last year.

“I had COVID in September, like mid-September and it did a number on me, it was horrible. For about for days, I just had real bad body aches and headaches, I lost about 20 pounds in about a week, but afte the four days, I started feeling a little better and I eventually tested negative thankfully and I tested negative on three separate occasions before the October tapings for Ring of Honor.

I was flown in to Baltimore, I had no symptoms, I was feeling better than I had been feeling and we took our tests after arriving and went back to my room and then got a call and they said, oh you tested positive again, are you feeling okay. I was like yeah, I feel fine, I don’t know how that is possible, so then I was sent home and as soon as I got home I took another test just to make sure and that test came back negative, so I was a little worried.

I quarantined for ten days, just to make sure nothing was wrong, but yeah, that was just a rollercoaster of a couple of days after I got to Baltimore, but thankfully I’ve had no problems after that, I’ve tested negative each time afterwards. I feel great, I feel the best physically I’ve really felt in a long time, so I’m just very thankful I haven’t had any long-term effects from COVID-19.”
