New England Championship Wrestling sent out the following:
NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING RETURNS TO BEVERLY AT THE COVE COMMUNITY CENTER ON SATURDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 9TH FOR “DOUBLE INTENSITY”! NEW NECW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, SEAN BURKE DEFENDS HIS TITLE AGAINST FORMER CHAMPION, SLYCK WAGNER BROWN AND BEVERLY’S OWN ROCK BAND, JJF PERFORMS LIVE!
New England Championship Wrestling (NECW) returns to Beverly at the Cove Community Center on Saturday night, November 9th at the Cove Community Center, 19 East Corning Street with a 7 PM bell time.
Last month, Sean Burke regained the NECW Heavyweight Championship from Antonio “The Promise” Thomas in a 2 out of 3 falls match with a controversial ending. Thomas suffered a groin injury during the course of the match, and intends to be in action on November 9th pending medical clearance. In the meantime, Burke refused to grant the now former champion an immediate rematch and wants Thomas to wait until he’s ready to face him once again.
NECW General Manager, Paul Richard quickly granted the next title match to former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown, a huge fan favorite and a close friend of Antonio Thomas. Wagner says he is ready to face Burke one on one and make sure his title reign is a short one.
In the co-feature, Antonio Thomas, pending medical clearance, will team with a mystery partner to face the Canadian duo of Jeremy Prophet and Genesis.
World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Alexxis Nevaeh defends her title in a return grudge match with former champion Mistress Belmont with Miss Sammi Lane in her corner.
NECW Television Champion, Johnny Thunder will see action in an open challenge, Mike McCarthy faces NECW Legend “The Egomaniac” Jonny Idol, Brad Hollister and other stars will also be appearing.
In addition, Beverly-based rock band, The Jimmy Johnson Files, will be featured with a live musical performance during this event.
Matches presented on this night will be taped for television.
Tickets for New England Championship Wrestling’s DOUBLE INTENSITY are $15 in advance, $20 at the door for adults and $10 for kids under 12. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.necw.tv or charged by phone at 1-800-838-3006.

NECW’s YouTube channel, which consists mostly of episodes of our broadcast TV show posted immediately after airing, reached a significant milestone last week when it topped one million views for the year. Recent shows have been routinely topping the 100,000 mark and the October 17 edition of the show alone is nearing 300,000 views. The channel is now past 1.5 million views and growing.
