In a recent shoot interview with RF Video, WCW President Eric Bischoff commented on a meeting he had in early 1996 where he pitched Hogan turning heel and joining the New World Order, hoping to salvage his investment which had gone away.

Bischoff noted that Hogan’s reaction wasn’t what he was expecting, as Hogan dismissed the question by stating that he had to pick up his kids from school and thanked Bischoff for stopping by and that Bischoff would never know his character until he had walked a mile in his boots, to which Bischoff noted was the most polite way he has ever been kicked out of a building in his life and that while Hogan only had a few TV dates remaining on his deal and was off filming the movie “Santa With Muscles”, Bischoff was hopeful of extending their deal and that at that time, things were not going the way he had hoped.

Bischoff noted that as the angle unfolded, Hogan asked Bischoff to fly out to Los Angeles where the deal was hatched to make Hogan the third member of the New World Order.
