Huge Tag Team Main Event In Norfolk

It’s no secret that the animosity between ROH World Champion Davey Richards and the House of Truth is heavy.  Last Friday at “Final Battle 2011” Roderick Strong was fresh off a big victory over Chris Hero when he made his way to ringside during the classic ROH World Championship bout between Richards and “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards.  Strong had promised to steal the spotlight from Richards and Edwards that night.  Fortunately his plans were stopped when Team Richards member Kyle O’Reilly confronted Strong before he could interfere.  Strong didn’t take too kindly to the confrontation and a brawl broke out that eventually resulted in all House of Truth members coming out.  Dan “The Beast” Severn also got involved. All of those men brawled to the locker room leaving Edwards and Richards alone in the ring to finish their war without anybody at ringside.

“I stand by my claim that Davey and Team Richards is a joke” explained Strong.  “It’s too bad that Davey’s boy toy O’Reilly instigated a brawl outside of the ring during the main event at Final Battle.  Davey’s butt child has stirred the pot and I can’t wait for me and Elgin to whoop their a** in Norfolk.  I plan on pinning Davey’s shoulders to the mat and showing why I deserve another title match pronto!”

Strong is desperate to get back into the World Title picture and is willing to do anything to get Davey’s attention.  By Strong’s side, of course, is “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin who already has a guaranteed World title shot lined up in the future.  Elgin won “Survival of the Fittest 2011” securing him a ROH World Title shot by beating one of his opponents in Norfolk, Kyle O’Reilly. Elgin has opened up a lot of eyes lately and is on a major roll but O’Reilly is also another young star on the verge of breaking out in a big way.
