WWE NXT crowned their first-ever NXT North American Champion at tonight’s NXT Takeover: New Orleans event as Adam Cole defeated Ricochet, EC3, Velveteen Dream, Killian Dain and Lars Sullivan to win the title.

Cole’s first title defense will take place at WrestleMania AXXESS tomorrow morning against Akira Tozawa.
