According to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a former UFC star is reported to be training at the WWE Performance Center and while he’s a name WWE are interested in, his age could be a huge factor in terms of him being with the company on a long-term basis.

While the Wrestling Observer Newsletter provides no details as to who the person in question is, there are unconfirmed reports that the person training at the WWE Performance Center is former Ultimate Fighter Season 1 runner-up and UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar, a lifelong WWE fan who retired from MMA after his loss to Anderson Silva in 2012.

The belief is that if 37-year-old Bonnar agrees to the WWE schedule that he will be under consideration for the return of the WWE Tough Enough series to work around the issues with his age, as well as to test if he would be willing to continue to train at the WWE Performance Center and work the hectic WWE schedule when called to the main roster.
