John Renesto, who was one of the primary referees for the World Class Championship Wrestling promotion during the 1980’s passed away, Major League Wrestling’s Court Bauer revealed this morning.
Renesto, beyond his officiating duties was often responsible in helping new talents get acclimated to WCCW, including taking them on the road when they first broke into the territory, driving them from town to town until they became familiar enough with their own surroundings.
On behalf of Wrestling-News.net, we would like to extend our condolences to the Renesto family and friends.
Wrestling lost a terrific referee in John Renesto, a staple of World Class Championship Wrestling. Many have relayed how John helped a lot or up and comers on the circuit. Family goes back 3 generations in the sport. Rest In Peace.
