The Freedom Pro Wrestling promotion out of Minnesota applied to trademark the terms “Summer Sizzler” and “Three Way Dance” on July 13th with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), as well as the term “3 Stages Of Hell” on July 14th.
The Summer Sizzler and Three Way Dance names were former ECW event titles, with Summer Sizzler Spectacular the name for the old ECW event in 1993, while Three Way Dance was the title of what was at the time, ECW’s biggest event to date back in 1995.
The filings for the trademarks note that they are for the following, “G & S: Entertainment in the nature of live performances by professional and amateur wrestlers and sports entertainers; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of development, creation, production, distribution, and post-production of wrestling and sports entertainment events; Entertainment services in the nature of production of wrestling and sports entertainment events; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.”
