Newly-crowned IWGP Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) took part in the post-AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door media scrum and discussed their title victory, plans to defend the titles in Japan and more.

Harwood and Wheeler said that they have had their eyes on defending the titles in Japan for a while and that now it looks to be a reality with travel restrictions opening up.

Harwood said that he is grateful for the opportunity that wrestling allows him to provide for his family and said that every week when he goes to work, he uses that as an example to his daughter of how she can be anything that she wants to be in life. Wheeler said that the two of them would love to have a lengthy run with the AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Harwood and Wheeler discussed their music chnge and how it worked out for them, with Harwood noting that Tony Khan suggested the music change and that it worked in improving their presentation as babyfaces. Tony Khan said that FTR have become better and more confident as wrestlers since CM Punk arrived in All Elite Wrestling. Harwood and Wheeler put over their Singles Match and said that they put out the possibility of facing one another, while other than the one or two obvious spots, any Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart tribute spots were subconscious and that they were not looking to rip anyone off.
