GCW General Manager Matt Cardona announced at Saturday’s GCW Take A Picture event at the Thalia Hall in Chicago, Illinois that due to Blake Christian’s obligations with New Japan Pro Wrestling, he has been stripped of the GCW World Championship.

Cardona announced that at GCW Cage Of Survival 3, there will be a Gauntlet Of Survival, with the winner crowned the new GCW World Champion. Joey Janela, who was originally scheduled to face Blake Christian for the GCW World Championship, has been confirmed as the first entrant for the match.
