Japanese wrestling star Wataru Inoue announced at today’s New Japan Pro Wrestling event at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan that he will be officially retiring from professional wrestling with a special commemorative match held in his honor on April 3rd at Korakuen Hall.

For those unfamiliar, Inoue suffered a cervical disc herniation in early 2013 and was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis in his right shoulder. Inoue announced that he intends to remain with New Japan Pro Wrestling as part of their staff.
