WWE superstar John Cena has joined the cast of the next Transformers film, a spin-off of Transformer Bumblebee, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter who note that Cena will be the lead in the film, his biggest role in Hollywood today.

The film, which kicked off production today, is slated for a December 21st, 2018 release and is the first of a planned series of spin-offs following the release of Transformers: The Last Knight.
