All Elite Wrestling superstar and current IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley was a recent guest on Wrestling Observer Radio where he discussed original plans for him in New Japan Pro Wrestling prior to the COVID-19 pandemic putting plans on hold.

Moxley noted that in and around January or February of 2020, he was scheduled to feud with Minoru Suzuki, which would then see him move on to what he described as a cool opponent that people wouldn’t think of, but is hopeful that they can still face off. Moxley then revealed that in May of 2020, there were plans for him to feud with Zack Sabre Jr, before eventually moving on to feud with KENTA before the G1 CLIMAX tournament.

Moxley added that while things did not go as planned, he feels that this feud with KENTA has ended up better than planned due to what has occurred in recent weeks on NJPW Strong and All Elite Wrestling.
