IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander has had to relinquish the title after suffering a triceps tear that will require him to undergo surgery, with the news first revealed during today’s episode of Busted Open Radio.

Alexander was scheduled to team with Frankie Kazarian and Rich Swann to face off against KUSHIDA, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, however Steve Maclin has now been inserted into Alexander’s spot.

Alexander is also off the WrestleMania week events next weekend, as well as the IMPACT Rebellion pay-per-view, where he was scheduled to defend his title against Maclin.
