Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, who has not wrestled since the 2021 AEW Full Gear pay-per-view, is currently recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, with his recovery time slated for around 10 weeks, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that in addition to the arthroscopic knee surgery, Omega will be getting surgery on a sports hernia at the end of this month, which has a recovery time of around 2 months. Omega is said to be looking to get more taken care of and is working in a behind-the-scenes role for AEW during this time, with no timetable set for his in-ring return.
