It is with deep sadness to report that Umanosuke Ueda, better known under the name of Mr. Ito, a manager and tag team partner of Tiger Jeet Singh, passed away earlier today in Japan at the age of 71.

Ueda made a career for himself in Japan as a top heel in the 70’s and 80’s in companies such as New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling, working alongside the likes of Hulk Hogan, Terry Funk, Dory Funk, Antonio Inoki, Stan Hansen, Giant Baba, Riki Choshu, Jumbo Tsurtua and Genichiro Tenryu.
