AAA held a press conference today where they announced a partnership with the Distrito Federal government to run Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera as a monthly venue as well as using it to hold classes on lucha libre. This wasn’t announced as an exclusive deal as there are other indies that have run that building regularly but this is a big deal for AAA to have their own building in Mexico City.

The latest issue of Super Luchas reported that Hijo del Santo’s neck injury is way worse than he originally thought and will retire at the end of this year where he plans on working a couple of retirement matches later in the year. Santo is postponing his surgery until he works his final matches because once he has the surgery he will definitely have to retire. Santo said that once his career in the ring is over with then he will solely concentrate on his businesses as well as helping his son grow as a luchador and also plans on opening up his own school
