Armando Alejandro Montalvo, the man who was shot and arrested outside the WWE Performance Center in Florida back in August 2015, was back in court on February 17th for a hearing that denied him bond after he was arrested again, according to a report from WFTV Channel 9 in Florida who reported that Montalvo was ranting in court and upset that he was not going to be released, claiming that he was the actual victim in the situation, as he was the one who had been shot.
Meanwhile, Montalvo’s father stated in court that his son suffers from borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia and without his medication, tends to have outbursts. Prosecutors argued that was exactly why Montalvo should be held in jail without bond, to which the court agreed.
For those unfamiliar with the story, Montalvo was arrested for trespassing after being warned to leave WWE property on August 4th, 2015, leading to the company seeking and receiving an injunction against him in an attempt to keep him from trespassing on the WWE Performance Center property, as there had been multiple incidents of Montalvo showing up and demanding a job, threatening talent and even throwing his own feces on the WWE Performance Center building. Undeterred by all of this, Montalvo returned to the WWE Performance Center on August 31st, 2015, with video footage featured in local media showcasing Montalvo acting as if he was a wrestler while banging on the doors and demanding to be trained. Local police showed up at the premises and Montalvo engaged them before being shot, later hospitalized and then charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and trespassing, to which he has plead not guilty to on all charges.
During a Sheriff’s media conference following the shooting in 2015, Montalvo was described as being fixated on a female WWE performer and as having trespassed on the WWE property several times in the weeks leading to his arrest. Prior to that arrest, Montalvo had been previously arrested for battery on a person 65 years or older, violating a domestic injunction, fraud and assault on a law enforcement officer. He was arrested last month in Orlando, Florida outside the Independent Bar and charged with battery after he took a vacuum hose and put one end in his pants and the other up a woman’s skirt. He was then taken into custody and it was ruled that the incident resulted in a violation of his previous bond and will be held in jail until he stands trial for the WWE Performance Center incident.
