In a recent interview with WrestlingINC, Maria Kanellis-Bennett discussed the idea of the company bringing recently-released WWE talent in to the company as part of the ROH Women’s Championship tournament.

“The women’s division in Ring of Honor has already seen some of these people, Mickie was essential to the beginning of the women’s division in Ring of Honor, so yes, we would love that, is timing going to work out, I’m not so sure.

As much as I would love to, when we’re going to shoot the tournament, to be outside the 90 days, there’s also the fact that production is when production is, there’s no getting around that, people know when it’s going to be, we schedule everything, you have to make sure that your cameramen, your lighting, your crew, everybody, is set for those days.

Chelsea, I worked with in IMPACT, Mickie, I worked with in WWE, the IIconis, I never got to work with, but they are iconic women and they are sweethearts. I talked with them the day that they were released and they were in good spirits. I would love to have them all, but I don’t know if the timing’s going to work out.
