In an interview with TMZ Sports, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry claimed that WrestleMania 36 could be the most-watched U.S. sporting event ever, noting that the show could get 200 million viewers stating, “What can WrestleMania do, two days?! Livestreaming and watching a network?! That could be 200 MILLION people watching.”

The most-watched SuperBowl event is SuperBowl XLIX, which reportedly drew a viewership figure of 114 million, while the only other U.S. television to beat that was the moon landing, which had an estimated 125 million to 150 million viewers. The most-watched WrestleMania to date is the WrestleMania 33 event, which was reportedly viewed by more than 1.95 million people.

Henry said that he feels that with everything going on globally, this year’s WrestleMania could be a monumental moment in sports history stating, “I think 20 years from now, we’ll talk about this moment in history and it will be like ‘hey man, the only thing that was on television during that time was pro wrestling.'”
