MARTY SCURLL CHALLENGING FOR ROH WORLD TITLE AT G1 SUPERCARD
The ROH 17th Anniversary press conference and contract signing at the ROH Dojo in Baltimore was hijacked by a villain.
The press conference was designed to make the ROH World Title Match between champion Jay Lethal and self-proclaimed real world champion Matt Taven at the 17th Anniversary pay-per-view this Friday in Las Vegas official, but the biggest news coming out of Baltimore is that “The Villain” Marty Scurll will compete for the ROH World Title in the main event of G1 Supercard at sold-out Madison Square Garden on April 6.
After Lethal and Taven both signed their contracts, things began to get heated between them and they had to be separated by security. Suddenly, the screen flickered and the live feed from Baltimore was replaced by a Villain Enterprises logo.
Scurll, standing in a dimly lit, undisclosed location, then appeared on the screen. He announced that he is cashing in his ROH World Title shot — which he earned by winning Survival of the Fittest last November — at G1 Supercard against the winner of Friday’s Lethal-Taven match.
