THIS FRIDAY NIGHT IN PHILLY – 3 BIG MATCHES ADDED

In less than a week, Ring of Honor commemorates its 12th Anniversary with a huge 2 day celebration in Philadelphia, PA!

We have just received confirmation of a few more matches added to Night One on February 21st:

UNSANCTIONED Philly Street Fight
Kevin Steen vs. Cliff Compton

Cliff Compton has been stalking Kevin Steen at recent ROH events, sneak attacking him from behind the guardrail. Compton is NOT a member of the ROH Roster after the disbandment of SCUM, and ROH has attempted to ban Compton from all of their events. However, Kevin Steen requested he be given the opportunity to even the score with Compton after he was attacked in Pittsburgh. After much consideration, Ring of Honor has granted Steen’s request – for a street fight! This is not an ROH sanctioned bout and will take place after the event at the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory. ROH wants no responsibility for what these two former friends might do to each other when they finally meet face-to-face. Cliff Compton vs. Kevin Steen is a Philadelphia Street Fight with no rules and no boundaries!

“Last Real Man” Silas Young vs. Matt Taven

Now that Matt Taven has officially dismissed Truth Martini and shaken free of the HOOPLA, his future is unknown. We’ve seen glimpses of a more honorable, more serious athlete. On a recent episode of ROH TV, it looked like Taven wanted to shake the hands of his former rivals for the TV Title, but Silas Young spoiled that by attacking him. Now at the 12th Anniversary, it will be Taven vs. Young one-on-one! While he’s known as a “pretty boy” by many fans, Taven has had some of the most physical matches in ROH – and Silas Young just likes to hurt people. This one might get brutal!

THE DECADE (Roderick Strong, BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs) vs. Mark Briscoe, Adam Page & Cedric Alexander

This giant six man tag match stems from 2 months worth of hostilities boiling over. The Decade have made known that they don’t like or respect the young, up and coming talent that ROH is renowned for. According to The Decade, new stars like Adam Page and Cedric Alexander haven’t earned their opportunities and don’t appreciate the legacy of Ring of Honor. Other tenured athletes like Mark Briscoe disagree. In Nashville, Briscoe and Page formed an unlikely duo to take on Whitmer and Jacobs. Meanwhile, Roderick Strong has taken professional AND personal offense to Cedric Alexander. Now all these grudges roll into one huge six man tag on Night One of the 12th Anniversary Weekend!
