Matt Cardona, aka the former WWE superstar Zack Ryder, who was one of a number of names released by the company recently as part of cutbacks related to COVID-19, applied to trademark the terms “Alwayz Ready” and “Internet Champion” on April 21st with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as he prepares for his post-WWE career.

The filing for the trademarks note that they are for “G & S: Bandanas; Hats; Hooded sweatshirts; Pants; Shirts; Sweatshirts” as well as “G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes”
