WWE SmackDown Live commentator Mauro Ranallo will not be returning to work with the WWE and will be effectively seeing out his contract, according to a report from CBS Sports who cite sources close to the situation.

Ranallo has missed the past several weeks of WWE television while dealing with depression issues and has since removed WWE from all of his social media, including even posts he made during the WrestleMania 33 pay-per-view. Ranallo’s close friend Bas Rutten has publicly blamed John “Bradshaw” Layfield as being the cause of Ranallo’s latest but with depression, to which JBL publicly wished Ranallo well and remarked that he was playing a heel on television.

In regards to Ranallo’s contract with the company, he remains under a deal with the WWE until August 12th, 2017.
