Mickie James made an appearance during Thursday’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV and revealed that due to several injuries that have kept her out of action in recent weeks, she has relinquished the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship.

James revealed during an appearance on Busted Open Radio earlier this month that she has been dealing with a slight shoulder tear, a possible torn pectoral muscle and three broken rib caps and that was the reason why her match against Jordynne Grace at IMPACT Sacrifice in March was pulled, with James also pulled from the IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United: Only The STRONG Survive event several days later.

As a result of James relinquishing the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship, the match between Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo at this Sunday’s IMPACT Rebellion pay-per-view will walk away the newly-crowned Champion, with both women looking to begin their third reign as the Knockouts Champion.
