Ring of Honor Wrestling sent out the following:

MACHINE GUN, THE BUCKS & HOOLIGANS ARE TORONTO & NYC BOUND!

Wrestling fans around the world were shocked by the announcement that Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling will be running two joint shows in May of this year. The first will be “Global Wars” and will take place Saturday May 10th at the Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, Canada. The second will be “War of the Worlds” on Saturday May 17th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. New Japan’s top wrestlers will be making the trip overseas for these massive events.

Taking part in this event will be multiple wrestlers on the current New Japan roster that also have ties to Ring of Honor. Current ROH World Tag Team and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks will be a part of both events. Joining them will be former ROH World Tag Team Champions Forever Hooligans and “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson.

The Young Bucks shocked the world when they defeated reDRagon for the ROH World Tag Team Titles at Raising the Bar Night 2 in Chicago just a few weeks ago. The Young Bucks first debuted in ROH in 2009 and quickly became one of the top tag teams in the world. Since their debut they have gone on to have success in other major promotions both in the United States and around the world. The team also shocked New Japan Pro Wrestling when they captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships on their first attempt on November 9th, 2013. The Young Bucks will proudly represent the tag team division of both Ring of Honor and New Japan on these two huge events in May as the respective champions of both organizations.

Forever Hooligans, Rocky Romero and Alex Koslov, will also be proud to represent both organizations as former champions. They are two time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and also former ROH World Tag Team Champions. Forever Hooligans were the first team to shockingly upset reDRagon and win the tag titles later last year. Before The Young Bucks, they simultaneously held the tag titles for both ROH and New Japan. At Death Before Dishonor XI in September of 2013 Forever Hooligans first represented New Japan in ROH by defeating The American Wolves in an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match. Without any current championships, Forever Hooligans are looking forward to these events to elevate themselves back to the top of the tag ranks in both companies.

“Machine Gun” Karl Anderson is a former two time IWGP Tag Team Champion. His former partner Giant Bernard, may be better known as Tensai. Since his tag team run in New Japan he’s gone on to have a successful singles career while creating his stable “The Bullet Club.” In Ring of Honor, Anderson has had many appearances over the years. His most notable appearance was his return to the company in April of 2013 when he defeated Michael Elgin on an episode of ROH TV. Anderson went on to enter to ROH World Championship Tournament last year where he was defeated by Michael Elgin. Having already had exciting matches with Elgin and Roderick Strong, it’s going to be exciting to see who Anderson faces next on the ROH roster.

Seats are still available for “Global Wars” on Saturday May 10th, but they are going quickly — do not be left out!. “War of the Worlds” on May 17th in New York City has SOLD OUT!. If you missed out on tickets, be sure to order “War of the Worlds” on VOD at rohwrestling.com the same week of the live show. You can’t miss these epic once in a lifetime events.
