New Japan Pro Wrestling crowned a new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion as part of today’s NJPW New Beginning In Sapporo 2024 Night 1 event at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan as Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler) defeated David Finlay to become the new Champion.

Nemeth’s victory brings an end to Finlay’s 50-day reign as the Champion.
