In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, former WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella revealed why she is retired from in-ring action.

Bella noted that herself and Brie intended to return to the company to compete for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, but while undergoing a check-up, she learned that she now has herniated the disc above the one that she had surgically repaired, while doctors also found a cyst on her brain.

Bella did not specify as to whether the WWE medically disqualified her from performing or if it was on the advice of her own personal doctor. She remains with the WWE as an ambassador of the company and remains as an Executive Producer on the reality series Total Bellas.
