In an Instagram Live cht with NWA President Billy Corgan, Mickie James revealed that the NWA Women’s Tag Team Championships will make their return as part of the NWA EmPowerrr event on August 28th in St. Louis, Missouri.
The titles were introduced in the 1950’s, but retired in 1984 when they were sold to the World Wrestling Federation, which led to the creation of the WWF Women’s Tag Team Championships, with Velvet McIntyre and Princess Victoria being the final NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time.
